The 1872 Dyer County Fair features the Grand Trapeze Balloon Ascension of Prof. Davenport.
1882
The Dyer County Fair records it's first charter at 5:30 pm at the Dyer County Courthouse.
1903
The Dyer County Fair moves from the Bruce Fairgrounds location to it's new location on Forrest Street.
1910
Mary Elizabeth Bell is awarded trophy for her horse riding abilities.
1912
The 1912 fair features a flower parade of decorated floats through downtown Dyersburg.
1916
The fairgrounds on Forrest Street closes with the 1916 fair.
1917
Local community leader Mack Scott holds a one day community fair downtown to replace the past fair on October 24, 1917 hosting a parade and square dance
1918
Community fair is cancelled due to the Spanish Flu.
1926
The 1926 Community Fair is help Sept. 21 - 23 and features a brass band each day.
1948
The Dyer County Fair returns under a new charter and is located on Harrell Avenue.
1961
The Dyer County Fair is named Sweepstakes Winner by the Tennessee Association of Fairs.
1974
Dyer County Fair acquires the train car that is a landmark at our new fairgrounds.
1975
The Dyer County Fair is named Champion Fair by the Tennessee Association of Fairs.
1977
The Dyer County Fair is named Sweepstakes Winner by the Tennessee Association of Fairs.
1979
The Dyer County Fair is named Sweepstakes Winner by the Tennessee Association of Fairs.
1983
The Dyer County Fair is named Sweepstakes Winner by the Tennessee Association of Fairs.
1990
The Dyer County Fair hosts it's first fair at the new fairgrounds located on Community Park Road.
1991
The Dyer County Fair is named Champion "AA division" fair by the Tennessee Association of Fairs.
1993
The old fair entrance from the Forrest Street fairgrounds is moved to it's current location at the new fairgrounds.
1997
The Dyer County Fair is named Champion of Champions by the Tennessee Association of Fairs. The Dyer County Fair celebrates it's 50th anniversary.
2000
The Dyer County Fair is named Champion "AA division" fair by the Tennessee Association of Fairs.
2001
The Dyer County Fair is named Champion of Champions by the Tennessee Association of Fairs.

The Dyer County Fair is named Champion "AA division" fair by the Tennessee Association of Fairs.
